NGC 474, 470 & 467
100-250 million light-years
NGC 474 is a spectacular example of a galaxy pulling matter from another galaxy, NGC 470, immediately to its right. NGC 474 is about 250 000 light-years across and 100 million light-years away from Earth. To the far right one can see NGC 467, an unrelated background galaxy at a distance of about 250 million light-years.
